As you may have noticed, the College Days website has taken a new look. Before the end of the 2025 finals week, I purchased a new website publisher for the College Days, the SNO Sites platform. It works as an extension of WordPress, our previous source. After talking with our staff and advisor, we believed it was time to allow our newspaper a chance to compete with our schools in terms of production and content value.
This is still a work in progress. I have edited most of the website to include up-to-date information about upcoming events, sports schedules, and hyperlinks to important information for students and alumni.
However, I am a single person, and this is not a perfect process. I look forward to adding more information and establishing a line of communication with the administration and students to make this website a trusted source for many on campus.
Journalism is important to me in my day-to-day life. I wouldn’t be where I am without the advisors who nudged me in the right direction and the people who counted on me to deliver the information that they needed verified.
I can only hope this fresh look and current stories get students excited about what I have been so passionate about for years. The door for IDS 213 is always open, whether it is an idea for something to be written or wanting to join our staff as a writer, photographer, or social media specialist.
Overall, my goal is to publish stories about the students, cover the events that matter, and of course, make sure that everyone feels that they have their voice heard. I truly am excited for this opportunity with SNO and this new era.
Sincerely,
2026 Editor in Chief
Emma Johnson
